Collaborating with architects Aisling and Aine from Studio Idir to bring to life a custom crafting station for Leslie at her home ‘House in the woods’.  The station was designed to offer functionality while harmonising with the bright and 1st floor bedroom space.

The brief focused on creating a practical yet aesthetically pleasing workspace, crafted from natural materials to align with the architectural tones of the home.

The crafting station was fabricated using high-quality birch plywood, renowned for its durability and modern look. The worktop was laminated with FENIX Azzurro Naxos, providing a tactile surface that is both durable and elegant.

Thoughtful touches such as the perforated pegboard system offer accessible and flexible storage for crafting tools, while custom pull-out arms support the foldable worktop, creating additional working space as needed.

Key Features:

• Pegboard Wall: The pegboard system allows for easy, adaptable organization of frequently used tools like scissors, thread, and other crafting supplies.
  
  
• Soft-Close Drawers: Featuring Blum Movento runners, the soft-close drawers ensure smooth functionality and a premium feel.
  
  
• Lighting: Integrated warm LED strip lighting was included to ensure optimal task lighting during crafting.
  
  
• Custom Worktop: The FENIX laminate worktop offers a durable surface that resists scratches and fingerprints, while its foldable nature provides versatility.

This project resulted in a space that is both highly functional and elegantly designed. Leslie now has a dedicated craft station that seamlessly fits into her home’s overall aesthetic, offering storage, lighting, and workspace solutions. 

The combination of durable materials and thoughtful design ensures that this workspace will serve her for years to come.
