Ewan and Bex, both architects based in Yorkshire, approached us to design and build bespoke wardrobes for their master bedroom.
Their beautiful period property presented a unique opportunity to create something that would blend seamlessly with the traditional detailing of the home while adding a touch of modern design.
We constructed the wardrobes using an external American white oak frame, which provided a rich, natural grain that contrasted the room's existing woodwork.
The doors were finished with oak veneer mounted on birch plywood, adding a layer of texture and depth to the wardrobes. Internally, we used white melamine birch plywood for the cabinets, ensuring the space would be light, durable, and easy to maintain.
The design was carefully considered to reflect the heritage of the property while incorporating modern detailing. We opted for clean, uninterrupted lines and concealed handles, which allowed the beauty of the oak to take centre stage without distracting ornamentation.
The precision in the craftsmanship was particularly important to Ewan and Bex, as architects who deeply appreciate the details that elevate a space.
